The hospital was founded and opened by the community in October 1954, through receiving donated land, proceeds of crops and endless hours of volunteer work. The Keith and District Hospital Inc operates under the Associations Incorporations Act of 1985 and is governed by a Board of Management whom volunteer their time to serve the community. In keeping with our reputation as a centre for delivering high standards of quality patient care we provide medical and aged care to a catchment area of approximately 3000 people. These services are supported by a visiting Cardiologst, Dermatologist, Psychiatrist and Podiatrist. Keith and surrounding districts are very fortunate to have a dedicated medical practitioner who enable the Keith and District Hospital to provide medical care 5 days per week.
